Dr. Krutoy attended the University of Georgia, where he received his undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2005. He then moved to New York City to attend Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, graduating with his DDS in 2009.

Teaching residents became an especially rewarding part of that experience, and the residents awarded him the Robert I. Delo Award for outstanding academic and surgical mentorship.
He also served as Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Education for the Lackland Air Force Base two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program, helping train dentists in the diagnosis and management of surgical conditions involving the teeth, jaws, and face.
